ARTIST BIO

Lesley Wamsley (b. 1982 Parkersburg, WV) received an MFA from SUNY New Paltz NY in 2012. Wamsley’s observational landscape paintings reflect the personal and historical consciousness of place and time. Awarded residencies include The Constance Saltonstall Foundation, Ithaca, NY; Wassaic Project, Wassiac, NY; Endless Editions, NYC, NY. Recent exhibitions include Portals curated by Jacqueline Ferrante, The Yard, NYC; Hocus Pocus curated by Good Naked hosted by Field Day, Peterborough, NH: Garden, LADIES’ ROOM, LA; The Second Decade, Hope Horn Gallery, University of Scranton, Scranton, PA. Her work is held by The Museum of Modern Art Artists’ Books Collection, New York City, NY. She teaches at Fordham University in The Fine Art Department. Wamsley lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
