ARTIST BIO

Vaughan Larsen is a photographer, performance artist, and arts organizer. They received their BFA with an emphasis in Photography from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in May 2019. Their work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including New York, New Orleans, and Germany. Larsen’s work has been featured in publications such as Humble Arts Foundation, Urban Milwaukee, and Photo Emphasis. Larsen’s practice has been recognized by multiple organizations like Getty Images, Amsterdam Pride, and the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Mary L. Nohl Fellowship. Larsen’s photograph Self Portrait as my Mother at my Father’s Military Ball is included in the 2021 publication, Witness, curated by Efrem Zelony-Mindell, and has since been acquired by the MOMA Library in New York.
