BLOSSOM FOLB (b. 1920, Brooklyn, NY - d. 2015, Los Angeles) received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Hunter College in New York, NY, where she additionally performed her graduate studies. Upon completion of her degrees, she further studied at the historical Art Students League in New York, NY. She had solo exhibitions at Pasadena Playhouse Gallery, Pasadena, CA; Landeau Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; Forum Gallery, New York, NY; Sala de Exposiciones de la Excma, Malaga, Spain; Roerich Museum, New York, NY; Marble Arch Gallery, New York, NY; and the State Capital in Albany, NY. Throughout her career, Folb was featured in numerous group exhibitions at galleries and institutions in the United States and abroad. She was the recipient of the Heydenryk Prize, the Lena Newcastle Prize, the Margaret M. Cooper prize, and the Aileen O. Webb Prize. Her work is included in the collections of the Albany Museum of Prints and Printmaking, Albany, NY, as well as various private and corporate collections. A member of the National Association of Women Artists, New York, NY, Folb passed away in 2015.
