ARTIST BIO

Tova Mozard (b. 1978) lives and works in Stockholm and Los Angeles. She holds an MFA from Malmö Art Academy and has studied photography at UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture, Los Angeles (2002-2003).

Solo exhibitions include: Nikolaj Kyrka, Copenhagen, 1646, The Hague; Kulturhuset, Stockholm; Hasselblad Center, Gothenburg; Gl. Holtegaard, Copenhagen; Gävle Konstcentrum and Botkyrka Konsthall, Stockholm.

Mozard has participated in numerous exhibitions and film festivals, including: CPH:DOX Film Festival; Rotterdam Film Festival; Oberhausen Film Festival; Scandinavia House, New York; Tartu Art Museum, Estonia; Artipelag, Stockholm; Malmö Art Museum; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; Southern Alberta Art Gallery, Canada; The Israeli Center for Digital Art, Holon; Mücsarnok Kunstahalle, Budapest; Sven-Harrys konstmuseum, Stockholm; Malmö Art Museum, Malmö; Anthology Film Archives, New York, Visible Evidence Los Angeles, Stockholm Film Festival, Gothenburg Film Festival, and Kassel Documentary Film & Video Festival. Her films The Big Scene and Psychic have both been nominated for the Swedish Guldbagge Award.

Mozard’s work is included in the collections of Moderna Museet, Hasselblad Foundation, Malmö Art Museum, Public Art Agency Sweden and Norrköping Art Museum. She is represented by Cecilia Hillström Gallery, Stockholm.
