ARTIST BIO
Krysten Cunningham has a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles (2003) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque (2000). Recent exhibitions include a solo project at Ladies' Room, Los Angeles (2019); participation in “3D: Double Vision” at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (2018-2019); and “Lawn Drawings” a performance and installation at The Getty Center, in Los Angeles (2017). Other solo exhibitions include “Layout” at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum, St Augustine, FL (2016); “Trapezoid, Prism, Cube” at Ritter/Zamet Gallery, London, UK (2014); and “Ret, Skutch, Heckle” at the Pomona College Museum of Art, Claremont, CA (2013). Her work has also been featured in group exhibitions including “Extending the Line” at the Idea Space in Colorado Springs (2015); “Craft Tech/Coded Media” at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (2013); and “Undone, Making and Unmaking in Contemporary Sculpture” at the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds, UK (2010). She is currently working on an installation for the LAX International Airport, which will open in 2021.
