ARTIST BIO

Ching Ching Cheng (b. Taiwan) immigrated to the United States in 2002. A recipient of an MFA from ArtCenter College of Design in 2020, her practice has consisted of drawings, paintings, sculptures, installations, performance, and videos. Exhibitions include LACMA Rental and Sales Gallery; Chinese American Museum; Craft and Folk Art Museum; 21c Museum; DTLA ArtCenter; Colleges, universities and art fairs throughout the United States, Taiwan and China. Residencies include Elsewhere Studio in Colorado; Cardboard City at Santa Monica; Atche Art Space, Los Angeles, CA; and 943 Studio in Kunming, China. Cheng has taught workshops and lectured at colleges, universities, museums, non-profit organizations, and private art centers. She is the recipient of the Individual Artist Grant from the City of Pasadena and artist-in-residency grant from Side Street Project in 2022, and multiple grants from Taiwan and Los Angeles. She currently lives and works in Altadena, California.
