ARTIST BIO

Kayleigh Efird is a multi-disciplinary artist from Baltimore, MD. She holds a BFA in fiber art and illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Kayleigh’s practice examines nostalgia and personal ritual through her illustrated dreamscapes. Her work is no stranger to the absurd and other-worldly; her interest in art history, fashion and performance often drive her creative narratives. She uses her practice as a solution for stillness and her work regularly features traveling subjects—although their destination remains a mystery to both the artist and her viewers. When she isn’t creating, she spends her time penny-boarding and watching ghost-hunting shows with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Beauregard.
