ARTIST BIO

Leah Piepgras (b.1970, Norman, OK) received her BFA in sculpture from the Kansas City Art Institute (1993) and her MFA from Carnegie Mellon University (1997). Piepgras creates (frequently labor intensive) work using performance, photographs, sculpture, and painting. She focuses on ideas about how our bodies interact within a cosmic timeline of the natural world and the universe, and how we flow through in all our forms.
