ARTIST BIO

Marly Beyer currently lives in Los Angeles, CA. Her personal practice explores shared moments of human connection and the fine line between freedom and solitude, influenced by years of restaurant work and an inborn love of the vast open space and mythic freedom of the American landscape through large scale watercolor drawings and hand-built ceramic vessels. She is the illustrator of Maggot Brain magazine, and teaches at several Los Angeles area community art centers and with the organization, Prison Arts Collective.
