ARTIST BIO

Visual artist Victoria Delgadillo is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego. In 2003, her written account on the curatory process for the first international exhibit on the femicides in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico was published through UCLA press. In 2010, she co-organized an international month of synchronized femicide art events with an operative in Mexico. These exhibits brought forth many instances and voices world-wide where the murder of women had been dismissed by their governments, especially Native Americans in the US and Canada. Through the 2018 “Regeneración, Three Generations of Revolutionary Ideology,” her radical artwork is linked to the crucial Chicanx inspired ideology of Mexican anarchists, the Flores Magón brothers. Victoria's lectures in art activism are part of the curriculums of the Universities of California at Berkeley/Los Angeles/Riverside/San Bernardino, Cal- State Universities Northridge/Los Angeles/Long Beach and San Diego as well as the University of Guadalajara, Mexico.
